What a delicious evening John and I had last night!
A few months back, we had been invited by New York magazine Design Editor Wendy Goodman to participate in the Young Collectors Night at the Winter Antiques Show, and we happily agreed. What an honor!
If you aren’t familiar with the Winter Antiques Show, this annual event that takes place at the Park Avenue Armory in Manhattan and attracts the best and brightest in the antiques world who sell their finest wares–and we are talking important pieces with loads of history and heritage. The sale attracts all sorts of bold-faced buyers, too, including the likes of Martha Stewart.
The Young Collectors Night brings out a younger set and ticket sales benefit the East Side House Settlement, an organization that serves as a community resource in the South Bronx. The East Side House offers education, career-readiness training and all sorts of other good things. So the Young Collectors Night is a fabulous evening paired with a fantastic cause–and we love that!
So last night was the actual Young Collectors Night, and John and I lapped up the evening like it was free white wine in a trough. As members of the Interior Design Committee, our firm was featured in a lovely write-up in the evening’s program… Divine!
Here are images from this glittering affair…
