It Takes Three!

John poses with our dear friends and superstar designers Michael Zabriskie and Scott Salvator at the Young Collectors Night at the Winter Antiques Show. Cute photo, n'est-ce pas?

Gang:

What a delicious evening John and I had last night!

A few months back, we had been invited by New York magazine Design Editor Wendy Goodman to participate in the Young Collectors Night at the Winter Antiques Show, and we happily agreed. What an honor!

If you aren’t familiar with the Winter Antiques Show, this annual event that takes place at the Park Avenue Armory in Manhattan and attracts the best and brightest in the antiques world who sell their finest wares–and we are talking important pieces with loads of history and heritage. The sale attracts all sorts of bold-faced buyers, too, including the likes of Martha Stewart.

The Young Collectors Night brings out a younger set and ticket sales benefit the East Side House Settlement, an organization that serves as a community resource in the South Bronx. The East Side House offers education, career-readiness training and all sorts of other good things. So the Young Collectors Night is a fabulous evening paired with a fantastic cause–and we love that!

So last night was the actual Young Collectors Night, and John and I lapped up the evening like it was free white wine in a trough. As members of the Interior Design Committee, our firm was featured in a lovely write-up in the evening’s program… Divine!

Here are images from this glittering affair…

Elegance Underfoot!

A glorious antique tapestry that would look so amazing upon a wall in an oversized living room. Of course, this tapestry costs about the same amount as a small house...

Buzzy Bar!

The stylish crowd hits the bar as the sound system cranks up. Cocktails for charity, love it.

More, More Marisa!

Here's our very glamorous pal Marisa Marcantonio, the guru behind the blog Stylebeat. If you don't know Stylebeat, you should!

A La Mode!

A gorgeous vintage photograph set against a rich red wall. I love the image of the models in Technicolor-hued dresses posed in the windows of the row house. Chic!

Baldwin Brilliance!

A pair of Billy Baldwin armchairs at the booth of Liz O'Brien. The Manhattan-based Liz O'Brien has a fabulous eye and always showcases amazing finds.

Mellow Yellow!

John peruses a collection of 18th-century paintings. We loved the "pops" of color in each of the different booths--the yellow paint treatment gives these painting a contemporary and youthful spin. Why not paint your powder room a big, bold color...
