What, you don’t know our World-Famous Annual Yard Sale?!
Um.
Every Memorial Day, John and I host our World-Famous Annual Yard Sale at Madcap Cottage in Hobart, New York, and it has become sort of legendary in the Catskills. We spend months getting ready for the sale, so the last few weekends have been all about collecting items from Brooklyn ear-marked for the sale and bringing them upstate.
And, wow, it’s going to be a damn good sale.
Fabric. Gobs.
Furniture. Loads.
Lighting. And how!
Wallpaper, objects, Chinoiserie. Check, check, and check.
Says John, “The Madcap Cottage World-Famous Annual Yard Sale is so much fun. We sell really fun products, and we meet amazing people. It’s a terrific weekend!”

After a long, long day running the World-Famous Annual Yard Sale, we kick back with my parents at the Mountain Brook Inn in Bovina, New York for a relaxed dinner in the sublime dining room. I clean up OK, n'est-ce pas?

Madcap annual yard sales on Memorial Day has become an event that has had Hobart buzzing with people from all over the country. I say event because these yard sales are not the norm as far as yard sales go. John & Jason have the most amazing items for sale and at reasonable prices. I for one look forward to attending another awesome Madcap Memorial Day annual yard sale.
